My children have taught themselves to read at a first grade level by this video, along with the next in the series, LeapFrog: Talking Words Factory. This, in addition to clearly presented concepts of letter sounds, makes it a fun, easy way for preschoolers to learn their basic letter sounds. This video, in my opinion, is the best video for preschoolers when it comes to learning letter sounds and learning to read.

Thankfully, LeapFrog remembered the whole issue with noise control and included a volume adjuster for it. Here's an item that'll earn ya one up on the other Grands.(smile)My daughters had the spotlight at Nana's office!! Everyone was so impressed to hear them sing."a says aah, b says buh, c says cuh, and d says duh".and so on, all the way to letter Z!īy the way.not to sound like a mini ad for LeapFrog or anything, but I think the Fridge Phonics gave them a nice lil' headstart on letter/phonics recognition. We al l know how you Grands just loooove to brag about the grandchildren. It is definately something every grandparent should consider buying, too.
It includes a recognition game in the menu so that they learn to match the letter sound with the letter itself.She was also able to recall their sounds without the visual portion as well which, of course, made Mommy sooo proud!. Even my 2-yr-old was able to recognize the entire alphabet and knew their sounds by the 4th time she watched the dvd. It did wonders for them with recognizing letters and their phonics. I bought this product actually as a gift for my nephew, who reportedly, loves it and is driving my ("big")sister crazy playing it over and over and over again!!! Ha,ha, ha, ha, ha I knew someday, somehow I'd get revenge!LOL I originally purchased this dvd in the stores for my daughters 2 and 4 years old.
